important chapter for Class 9 maths

As the 2021-22 education session draws close, all CBSE schools are ready to run the annual examinations for all classes. The 9th-grade exercises are considered a step towards preparing for the major exams in the next session, the 10th class board exams.

Therefore, students should work hard to get good grades in the 9th-grade tests to bring more confidence to the 10th class board exams next year. To be well-prepared for the Grade 9 CBSE exam, students should have a learning program that can help them improve their performance.

Students need to know where to start preparations. CBSE Grade 9 Mathematical Key Questions (important questions for Class 9 maths) will help you do well in class exams and prepare for future board exams. We are focused on preparing for the Class 9 syllabus based on the CBSE syllabus.

This article will enhance your Mathematical skills and advance you in understanding the topic. There’s no single chapter that is specifically important for the examination. Certain areas contain more weightage than others.

Here, we’ll discuss all the units with the weightage so that you can understand which chapter to complete first:

S.no CBSE Class 9 Syllabus: Unit-wise Marks Distribution
Units Marks
1. Number System 8
2. Algebra 17
3. Coordinate Geometry 4
4. Geometry 28
5. Mensuration 13
6 Statistics and Probability 10
Total 80
Internal Assessment 20

NCERT Syllabus for Class 9 for Second Term

Units Unit Name Marks
I Algebra (cont.)                        12
II Geometry (cont.) 15
III Mensuration (cont.) 09
IV Statistics & Probability (cont.) 04
Total 40
Internal Assessment 10
Grand Total 50

You can understand from the above table the Geometry section contains the highest weightage. It would be best to focus on the geometry section first, but that does not mean that you can ignore the coordinate geometry section for the examination. For more information, you can refer to Ncert solutions for class 9 maths.

Unit 1: Number System

There is a representation of natural numbers, whole numbers, rational numbers, intricate, repetitive, and endless decimals on the number line. Introduction to the nth root (actual number). Estimating real numbers. A review of the rules involved while working with the most important exponents.

Unit 2: Algebra

Remembering linear equation for one variable. Introduction to the two-variable equation. Focus on line axes of ax + by + c = 0. Explain that two variables have many complete solutions, justify their writing as orderly pairs of real numbers, arrange them, and show them lying in line. A graph of the two-variable equation.

For example, problems from real life with algebraic solutions and simultaneous graphs.

Unit 3: Coordinate Geometry

The Distance formula is the most important chapter. Read, familiarize yourself with the problems, and do not leave this chapter. Problems are not time-consuming and are accessible.

Triangular-related problems can be easily solved and scored goals. Also, the distance formula is used to solve many quadrilateral-related problems or polygons in advanced classes.

Unit 4: Geometry

Most students find geometry a little tricky, but they need to be patient and read the topic carefully. Geometry weighs about 30% of the total mark. Readers should pay close attention to this topic. Prove all the theorems with appropriate statements and concepts. Draw diagrams while trying the question. Practice and revise as many problems as you can in this article.

Unit 5: Mensuration

These are chapters with many points to get points compared to other chapters. The only issue you need to pay attention to is the formula. You need to know which formula you can use as a geometric shape.

Contains:

  • A triangular and quadrilateral space with particular emphasis on the use of the Heron formula.
  • The surface area with volume round, cuboid, cube, cone, and suitable circular cylinders.

Unit 6: Statistics and Probability

History repeated testing and how to see frequency in opportunities. Focus on probability. (More time to devote to the group and individual activities to stimulate the mind; tests to be taken in real-life situations, and examples used in the mathematical chapter.

Conclusion

As the 2021-22 education session draws close, all CBSE schools are ready to conduct annual examinations for all classes.
