Turkish Series

There are plenty of popular Turkish TV series, but what are the best ones? Here are five of my favorites: Sen Cal Kapimi, Fatma, Dirilis: Ertugrul, and You knock on my door. Which one should you watch first? We’ve all seen them – but which one should you try? Read on to find out! Also, remember that the Turkish series are often written in a very unique style that makes them feel like unique stories in their own right.

Sen Cal Kapimi

After a long absence from the Turkish television scene, the second season of Sen Cal Kapimi will finally premiere this summer. Originally canceled by Turkish website TV100 after season one, this show was a hit amongst fans. It stars Hande Ercel and Kerem Bursin, two actors I’ve adored for years. I’m very excited to see what this new season has in store for us!

While there are numerous characters in Sen Cal Kapimi, the two main characters are Serkan and Eda. Serkan is a world-renowned architect who is also the owner of a large company. Serkan is very hardworking and he is passionate about excellence. Eda is his childhood friend who accepts herself and dresses well. She is also Serkan’s ex-girlfriend. But as their relationship develops, they begin to feel more compelled to get to know each other better.

You knock on my door

“You knock on my door” is a Turkish tv series that follows the relationship between a man and a woman. The game is based on the novel of the same name, which also stars the author. It features a story-driven perspective that allows you to take control of a character who suffers from social anxiety and depression. By playing the game, you’ll help the protagonist survive her illness and gain a better understanding of the frailty of mental illness.

Fatma

Fatma, a Netflix original from Turkey, is a gripping thriller about a woman who commits murder without thinking. As the series progresses, she has to contend with a variety of bad guys, ranging from classic criminals to your average chauvinistic pig. Sexual violence is also a recurring theme. The main character, Fatma, has a complicated past that affects how her body reacts to violence.

The plot of this six-episode thriller revolves around a woman who becomes a widow and has to find her husband, who is recently released from prison. Fatma’s life is incredibly difficult, and she finds herself in a difficult situation where she must kill her enemies in order to survive. Fatma has a dark past, and she is forced to confront it to survive.

Dirilis: Ertugrul

A Turkish TV series about the history of the Ottoman Empire has gained worldwide attention, and now has a worldwide fan base. Originally aired on TRT 1, the show was translated as Resurrection of Ertugrul. The series, which was produced by Mehmet Bozdag and directed by Metin Gunay, has been translated into six languages. Among its fans are the Nelson Mandela family and the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro. It has also been dubbed into six languages and viewed by more than 1.5 billion people on YouTube.

In addition to its male characters, this Turkish drama series shows a strong female role. Female characters in the show are powerful, politically active, and have agency, running counter to the stereotypical depictions of Muslim women in Western media. In the pilot episode, Halime wields a sword and defends Ertugrul, while Hayme Ana advises the family. And the series also features a strong female character named Selcan Hatun, who seeks revenge on the corrupt Hulagu government.

Masum

Those who love Turkish television will love Masum, a new miniseries that will premiere online in January. Based on the stage play Bayrak, this drama stars Haluk Bilginer, Ali Atay, and Nur Surer. The story follows the lives of a typical Turkish family, from the police chief Cevdet (Ali Atay) to his young son Tarik, who has been assigned to a mysterious murder case.

Another top Turkish series is Sahsiyet, a twelve-part Turkish series that is widely regarded as the world’s best television show. This series is about a man who has Alzheimer’s and decides to punish criminals in his own way. Haluk Bilginer won the Best Actor award for his performance in the show. The series is well worth a watch. For a taste of Turkish television, try it!
