How to Apply Online to DU SOL UG Programs?


The School of Open learning offers many programs under UG admission. It includes courses related to arts and commerce streams. You can take admission to your desired programs using the official link of the website that is First of all, select your desired course from the available programs and then hit the New Registration. 

Students should check the course details, eligibility criteria and admission procedure using the admission brochure of the university. You need to know the important dates for the application process. The admission has started by the university to various UG and PG programs. The admission portal will remain active till December 15, 2021.

In case you have just passed or cleared your class 12th examination, they can easily apply to the desired UG program. 

Required Documents for Taking Admission to the Course

Once you have decided to take admission to the program, ensure you have all the documents in hand. These documents are mandatory for taking admission. Let’s know the complete list:

  • Scanned copy of recent passport size photograph and signature
  • Self-attested copies of all the mark sheet and certificate
  • If you are taking admission to DU SOL UG degree program, make sure you have the documents bearing the score of the last qualifying examination
  • Caste certificate
  • Certificate of Income
  • One address proof

Note: Students are required to check the minimum and maximum file size and the respective limit before uploading these documents on the website of DU SOL. They are also advised to upload the documents in the scanned format only as normal images are not allowed as it may lead to the rejection of the application. 

DU SOL Admission Procedure 2021-2022

Now, it’s time to fill out the application form as it is one of the most important parts of taking admission to a particular program. The detailed guidelines are mentioned below:

  • The first and foremost step is online registration which you can do using the online web portal of Delhi University’s School of Open Learning. To do the same, visit the
  • Then, press the New Registration tab and follow on-screen directions.
  • Under New Registration, you need to fill the New Applicant Sign Up form.
  • After that, provide all the details on the Create New Account web form.
  • Set up your account password and register carefully.
  • The mandatory credentials will be mailed to you with a login ID and password.

Application Form Filling Procedure

Once you have logged into your account, it is required to fill the form carefully:

  • Open the application form on your computer screen.
  • Then, Enter your academic details.
  • Go through the detailed guidelines and fill in all the required details.

DU SOL Course Selection

Once you have successfully followed all the above steps, it is recommended to choose the preferred course of study. 

Note: You may apply for multiple courses if you afford it because there is no limit to the application but you have to manage yourself at a later stage. DU SOL official website provides this opportunity to the students to do more than one program at the same time.

Documents Uploading Procedure

Once you have selected the course and successfully filled the admission form, it is required to upload all the necessary documents with care. You need to submit the needed certificate and required details using the online web portal. You need to upload these documents:

  1. Photograph and signature
  2. Certificate and mark-sheet bearing last qualifying examination details
  3. Caste Certificate

DU SOL Fee Payment

The Fee payment is one of the most important things in any admission procedure. You can make your fee payment using any of the mentioned methods:

  • Credit and Debit  Card
  • UPI
  • Net Banking

Note: You need to pay rupees 500 also towards the registration fee at the time of form submission along with the course fee. So, it is recommended to pay the fee very early without waiting for the last date as, after the due date, extra charges will be applied to the basic course fee.
